Soymilk is a staple in my fridge, so I tend to substitute it for things that need milk out of laziness. Hahaha. Brown sugar works better with the soy flavor than white sugar.
Recipe
6 oz water
1 Lipton tea bag
1-2 tsp brown sugar
Soymilk (original flavor/less sweet), to taste
Rinse out your cup with warm water from the tap. Place tea bag in cup.
In a saucepan, pour in 6 oz of water. Heat over high uncovered until water starts to boil. Remove pan from heat and pour hot water into the cup.
Steep tea for 4-5 minutes covered. Discard tea bag.
Stir brown sugar into the hot tea to dissolve. Add soymilk to taste. I usually pour in enough to turn my tea into a creamy reddish-brown color.
